Florida Grackle - This blackbird measures nearly 12 inches in length, is black all over, and has bright yellow eyes. The male Grackle has purple or blue-green on its head and neck. During the winter, the grackle will live in the tropical parts of the state. Beetles, boll weevils, grubs, grasshoppers and caterpillars serve as food for the grackle.
